Organize your informational hierarchy with a pyramid chart

Pyramids are famous all over the world because of their distinctive shape and how impressive they are architecturally. Internally, each pyramid layer depends on the layer beneath to keep the structure upright. You can use this same principle to organize information. Demonstrate the flow of a given process or showcase the hierarchical relationships with our free pyramid diagram. This pyramid template can be easily customized and shared with others. Use it as a collaborative team exercise or visual aid to keep stakeholders informed.

Use the pyramid template in Lucidchart

To add more sections to the pyramid:

1. Right-click on any shape on the pyramid and select “Copy.”
2. Right-click anywhere on the diagram and select “Paste” to add the new shape to the diagram.
3. Add the new shape to the pyramid by dragging it into position and moving other shapes to make room.
4. Adjust the shape to the needed size by clicking and moving the borders to the desired proportions.

To change a shape’s color, click on it, then select the “Fill Colors” option on the main toolbar at the top of your workspace. Once you’ve customized your pyramid chart the way you want, click on any text box and type the information you’d like to include.
